Pale malt använd som bas för alla Ale-typer, som exempel Pale Ale, IPA, Amber Ale, Brown Ale, Porter, osv.
Med andra ord kan Pale Malt användas i alla öl där man önskar en fin gyllene färg med en fyllig smak.
Den kan dessutom användas helt utan specialmalt som ger en lätt och ljus öl med lite rundare maltprägel än pilsnermalt.
